Johnny Depp in the East End of London

Before playing Inspector Frederick Abberline in the film From Hell, Johnny Depp visited the East End of London and the haunts of Jack the Ripper, as research for his film role. He was accompanied by Ripper expert and ex-policeman Donald Rumbelow. They rounded off the visit at The Ten Bells Pub, where one of the Ripper’s victims is said to have enjoyed a drink.
